Huddle Meeting
Faith Saves You (Jesus’ Miracles)

Welcome (greetings and announcements)
• Open in Prayer

Warm-Up (ice-breaker, games, skit)
• Head’s Up

Workout (Bible studies, devotionals, testimonials)

Large Group Time
• Faith Saves you. Read Matthew 8:5-13.
• The centurion saved his servant through his faith. A centurion was a military officer in the Roman army with control over 100 soldiers. Jews hated Roman soldiers for their oppression, control and ridicule; but a centurion came to Jesus asking for Him to spare his servant. Jesus tells him that his faith is greater than anyone’s in Israel. The centurion’s faith saved his servant.

Small Group Time (6-8 students per group)
• Has a coach ever told you to do something you didn’t understand? What was it? Did you do it anyway? How did it affect you?
• What event or hardship in your life have you struggled with at the time, but months or years later you saw the good that came from it? (for example, moving to another school, not making a team, a personal injury or losing a friendship). How have you seen God’s hand in this hardship? How can faith get you through the hard times?

Wrap-Up (closing comments)
• Throughout scripture, Jesus has done things that people have not understood. He rubbed mud mixed with His own spit in a blind man’s eyes, sent him to wash in the Pool of Siloam, and the man could see for the first time in his life.
• He told lepers to show themselves to the religious leader. As they went, they were cleansed. Read Luke 17:12-15.
• Jesus asks us to do things that we don’t fully understand, but faith is trusting. If we understood, then it wouldn’t be faith.
