Huddle Meeting Agenda
Choose Not to Snooze

Welcome: (Greetings and Announcements)

Warm-up: (Game- Everyone is it! )

Work-out: (Bible studies, devotionals, testimonials)
Large Group Time
• Read Psalm 5:3
• Are you one of those athletes who hit the snooze button every morning? You choose to snooze, but may end up missing out on great morning opportunities
• When David wrote Psalm 5:3, his simple plan was to begin his day with prayer. Praying is communing with God. It’s a big part of a relationship. David brought his requests to God, which means that life issues were on his mind.
• David waited expectantly for a response from God. This is like when one of our family friends got pregnant. She was ‘expecting’ and we all waited expectantly. A baby was coming. An arrival is sure. When we present our requests to God, we should pray in this way too!
• Keep in mind that God is not a magic genie granting a ‘yes’ to our every request. He wants us to believe in Him enough to talk about it…including our lives as an athlete. This is what a Christian athletic relationship with God should look like.
• Choose not to snooze is a great way to begin the day. It is choosing to get up to pray and look up because an answer is coming up

Small Group Time
• How do you begin your mornings now? Do you hit the snooze? How many times?
• Are you willing to choose not to snooze for a month or a semester? If so, how will you spend your extra time? Will you spend time in prayer and present your requests to Him?
• Read Psalm 5:1-3. Why is it important to pray in the morning? What about ‘now I lay me down to sleep…”? Nighttime prayer, in fact, all prayer is important to have a strong relationship with God. Every day is a new day. Imagine if we all started with our hearts and minds on God, seeking his guidance before we start the rest of our day.
• Read Psalm 25:4-7.

How to Play Everyone's It!
Same rules as tag... except everyone is it!

Get everyone to put their non-preferred hand on their head. Then, everyone has to run around in the specified area and get other people out by touching their elbows.

Last one in wins!
