Welcome: (Greetings and Announcements)

Warm-up: (ice-breaker, games, skit)
● Pen drop game. Have two volunteers from the group come to the front to play. Place a cup on the ground in front of a chair and have each student stand up on the chairs with 8 pens each. Give them 45 seconds to drop as many as they can in the cup. 1 in= 1 point.
o Key points: topic is consistency

Work-out: (Bible studies, devotionals, testimonials)
Large Group Time
● Read Proverbs 6:6-11
● If the ants did not work together to gather food for winter, they would go hungry and starve. They have no ruler over them telling them what to do but they still work together and do what is necessary. They have motivation, wisdom, and are determined to take initiative for what needs to be done.
● We need to have this same motivation to achieve excellence in aspects of our life. (School, sports, clubs)
● We need to be hard working in all that we do to achieve the goals we set and to achieve greatness.

Small Group time
● What do you think of when you see ants at work? Do you see a hard-working, wise colony working together to achieve a common goal? (verses 6-8)
● What do you repeatedly do to achieve excellence in school and sports? What are some excuses you make to avoid the hard work it takes to achieve this excellence?
● What do you repeatedly do to achieve excellence in your faith and relationship with Christ?
● What excuses do you use that lead to inconsistency in developing a deeper relationship with Christ? What are some dominoes (consistent actions) you will do to grow physically, academically, spiritually? What are some goals you can put in your life to help you achieve excellence?

Wrap-Up: (closing comments, prayer)
● Read Proverbs 2:1-6. The starting point of achieving wisdom is God and His revealed Word, the source of “knowledge and understanding”. Wisdom is His gift to us, but it is only given to those who earnestly seek it. The path to achieving wisdom is extremely difficult.
● Proverbs 21:5. Diligence does not come naturally to most. It is the result of Strong Character. Don’t look for a quick, easy way out. Line up your dominoes.
